Yes. Everything stays on your computer — no data sent over the internet, no cloud account. Two exceptions, both optional and using your own key: the AI Assistant (your question goes to Claude or GPT only when you ask it) and the market ticker (it fetches quotes only when you turn it on). Nothing else leaves your computer.

Two common causes: you exported the Performance summary instead of the Trades tab — it's the trade list you need. Otherwise, there's nothing to configure format-wise: no matter your Windows region (comma or decimal point), the journal detects your format on its own.

Yes, regardless of your region. The journal recognizes your number format, reads accented characters, and aligns the replay to your timezone. Your currency is captured automatically on import.

No. The journal recognizes trades already present (by account and entry/exit time) and updates their values without duplicating. Your notes and tags stay intact.

In the Chart tab, load a bars file exported from your platform for the traded instrument. Pick a trade from your list and hit play: the candles reveal themselves one by one, with your entry, stop and exit. Everything is local; the only exception is the first load of the charting library, which requires a connection.

It breaks down every trade on the real candles — entry, exit, path — and runs a leak detector that spots costly patterns in your execution (exiting too early, letting a loss run…).

It gathers your key performance metrics — net P&L, win rate, profit factor, average win and loss, expectancy, max drawdown, R-multiple and exit efficiency — to gauge where you stand at a glance.

The Assistant is a chat that analyzes your journal. It runs on your own API key — Claude (Anthropic) or GPT (OpenAI) — which you paste into its settings. Your questions go to the chosen provider only when you ask one; the rest of your data stays on your computer.

Use "Restore from your backup" (your backup file) BEFORE turning on auto-save. Once reloaded, turn on auto-save and everything saves itself from then on.

A button in the app that records what happens (imports, errors), even offline. If something's off: open it, copy everything, and send it to support. It shows exactly the problem, with no sensitive data.
